Reducing the use of antimicrobials

Reducing the use of antimicrobials is crucial to responsible animal production today and plays an important role in increasing feed and food safety and supporting animal health. Our strategy is to help animal producers with a tailor-made and integrated approach, including feed, farm and health management, enabling them to raise animals without the use of antibiotics, while increasing performance and profitability.

Integrated customised Feed, Farm and Health approach in the full production chain

AMR

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is the number one global public health issue of our time, affecting both human and animal health. It occurs when a microorganism becomes resistant to antibiotics that were originally effective in treating infections caused by it. The number of human deaths as a result of resistant bacteria is rising. In addition to the human threat, AMR is making antibiotic treatments less effective for animal producers around the world, resulting in increased mortality rates and lower feed efficiency. Trouw Nutrition’s aim is to find new methods that substantially reduce reliance on antibiotics and improving efficiency and productivity of animal health. How? Watch the video.
