National Sales Manager


We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Manager to join our team and help to drive the business forward at a time of signficiant investment and interesting new product/service developments from our parent company Nutreco.


As National Sales Manager you will be responsible for managing and motivating the Sales Team to formulate account plans and to deliver results in accordance with Sales Targets. You will be a key player in continuing to foster the strong relationships with our long standing customers together with developing new relationships and business opportunities. You will also manage a selected number of key accounts directly.


Working closely with the species Business Directors you will understand the value proposition of Trouw’s products and services and be able to position these to customers to meet their specifics needs and requirements. You will be a key champion of the company’s CRM to ensure it is an integral part of the daily sales process to increase sales effectiveness and enhance the customer experience.


The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:


  • BSc or MSc in animal nutrition, agri business or equivalent.
  • Experience as a B2B (or to consumer) sales manager for technical products.
  • Experience in preparing business- and sales plans.
  • Experience in the animal feed industry.
  • Well developed (strategic) sales and negotiation skills.
  • Experience of leading a Sales team.
  • Passion for results.


Your experience will demonstrate an ability to build and maintain effective relationships both internally and externally with customers. You will be an innovative thinker and adaptable in your approach.
