Community Day 2025
- People
On 18 July 2025, we paused operations for a community volunteer day. Teams supported eight local projects through hands-on activities, strengthening teamwork and living company values, before closing with a woodland social gathering.

Friday, 18 July 2025 was no ordinary workday for the Trouw Nutrition team. With a full site shutdown, colleagues stepped away from their usual roles to give back to the local community through a series of hands-on projects.
The day began with a warm welcome and breakfast, followed by an inspiring kick off from Country Manager Antony Taylor. Teams then headed out to support eight local initiatives:
- ACE Youth Trust
- Brassington Primary School
- Mapleton Pavilion
- Ashbourne Animal Welfare
- Norbury School
- Ashbourne Lodge Care Home
- Just for Dogs
- Markeaton Park
Activities ranged from gardening and ground clearance to painting (indoors and out), path laying, shed building, dog walking, and offering companionship.
Beyond the positive impact on the community, the day fostered collaboration across departments, reinforcing the message that we are one team. It was also a chance to live out our company values, with colleagues nominating one another for demonstrating these throughout the day.
The event wrapped up with a relaxed social gathering in a beautiful woodland setting - a heartfelt thank you for everyone’s hard work, not just on the day, but all year round.
A huge thank you to the Wellbeing Team for their dedication and effort in making this day such a success.
