Accelerating our sustainability journey with adoption of HVO fuel
- Sustainability
On our mission to “Feed the Future” sustainably, we have taken another significant step forward by adopting Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) fuel to power our logistics operations. This renewable alternative to diesel is set to dramatically reduce the carbon footprint of our delivery fleet, reinforcing our commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility.

Why we chose HVO
HVO is a renewable alternative to diesel, made from sustainable raw materials such as waste oils and residues. The great advantage is that it can be used directly in our existing engines without modification - allowing us to make an immediate impact. By choosing HVO, we can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 90% compared with fossil diesel.
For us, this is more than just a fuel switch.
Making the most of our new fleet
When we launched our own delivery fleet in Ireland last year, we did so to gain more flexibility, control, and efficiency in serving our customers. Today, by powering that fleet with HVO, we are ensuring that every journey we make contributes positively to the environment.
Responsible choices matter
We know that not all renewable fuels are created equal. That’s why we are committed to working only with suppliers who use sustainable feedstocks - excluding materials like palm oil that can contribute to deforestation. In this way, we ensure that our adoption of HVO delivers real, measurable benefits without unintended consequences.
