John Warburton: Sustainability Consultant

John Warburton grew up on a dairy farm in Cumbria and joined Map of Ag in February 2022 as a Project Manager, looking after a number of clients assessing the carbon footprint of their farm supply base. Through his involvement in these projects and his scientific background, John quickly became engaged with the more technical aspects of GHG Emissions assessments and moved across to the Sustainability team in early 2024.

One of his main areas of focus has been improving farm level reporting on embedded emissions from imported feeds through his work with UK feed mills. This work is now expanding into looking at how this framework can provide traceability of Soya use for upcoming regulations such as EUDR and UKFRC.
